Seeking After the Lost Sheep

For years I have heard this expression regarding a backslider falling into sin: People would say ‘so and so” fell from grace—or if a ministry fell into sin, they would always say, ‘“so and so” fell from grace.’  But when you study the Bible it has a completely different view.  In Romans 5:20, it says “Where sin abounded grace does much more abound.”  In other words, when a believer falls into sin, they do not fall FROM grace they fall INTO grace…they fall into the wonderful grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You see, there is hope for the one who has fallen into sin. There is hope for the one who is mad at God; there is hope in God’s grace. Remember, Jesus said the good shepherd leaves the 99 and goes searching for the one that is lost.  When he finds it, he rejoices! Let’s continue to reach out to those who have fallen into trouble and fulfill God’s purpose for us in this earth.
